Matt Wreford- CEO (Chief Executive Officer)

Matt became Demica’s CEO in November 2014 and has grown the company from 12 to over 300 employees. Before Demica, Matt joined and led ICAP Plc, Exotix Partners LLP, and was the CEO of IPGL Group.

Adam Barrett- Sales

Adam joined Demica in March 2020. Before Demica, Adam managed sales at UBS, Goldman Sachs, Barclays, and Lloyds. During his time at these banks, he focused on a fixed income.

Maurice Benisty- CCO (Chief Commercial Officer)

Maurice joined Demica in October 2017 from Wells Fargo, where he was CEO of Commercial Distribution Finance with 400 employees and $3 billion in assets. Maurice worked for GE Capital, Lehman Brothers, Bankers Trust, and Paribas.

Hayden Eastwood- CFO (Chief Financial Officer)

Hayden, an Australian CPA, joined Demica in September 2022. For over 25 years, he has worked in various industries in senior finance and business positions.

Enrique Jimenez- CPO (Chief Product Officer)

June 2016 joined Demica Enrique Jimenez. He was Banco Santander’s Continental Europe Head of Supply Chain Finance and Trade Products and an experience as a corporate banker for 20 years.

Kishore Patel- CTO (Chief Technology Officer)

Kishore Patel joined Demica in 2001. Being a system architect and developer, he designs, develops, secures, and maintains all the parts of the platform.

Diego Palacios- COO (Chief Operating Officer)

Diego A. Palacios got into Demica in 2016. Previously he was Demica’s Corporate Development Director and Business Development Head.

Payables Finance: Extends payment terms with suppliers, who can enrol in the programme to be paid early to improve cash flow and liquidity. You must negotiate a reasonable rate for them with a third-party funder and promise to pay on time without a business dispute.

Dynamic Discounting: Buyers can use their extra cash to pay their bills early at a discount they and their suppliers agree on using dynamic discounting to finance the supply chain. Our multi-funder platform lets buyers use extra cash according to their business’s trading cycle. Corporates can use it as an Early Settlement programme.

Collection Securitization: This lets a company sell a large pool of diverse receivables on the capital market. Freeing up capital improves the balance sheet and operating cash flow metrics. It helps businesses with many customers consolidate receivables from operating companies in different locations and business units.

Trade Receivables Finance: Trade receivables are either given to the financing provider or used as collateral. Trade Receivables Finance programmes can range from invoice-by-invoice solutions for a single debtor to more complicated arrangements for the portfolios of several operating companies.

South African SMEs struggle to grow due to cash flow issues and high-funding businesses. Shoprite Group, the region’s largest fast-moving consumer goods company, has partnered with Demica to help its suppliers get supply chain finance. The fintech company claims it’s Africa’s first food retail deal. Shoprite’s CredX finance product, “often cheaper than bank financing,” is available to all suppliers but targets small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs). Demica’s supply chain finance platform lets suppliers pay invoices early. CredX pays the supplier within 24 hours, and Shoprite pays CredX when the invoice is due.

Sonovate and Demica announced a partnership.

Sonovate, a provider of embedded finance and payment solutions for contingent workers, has partnered with Demica, a trade finance fintech, to improve its reporting processes and continue helping thousands of business customers worldwide. Under the partnership, Sonovate will use Demica’s Platform to lend to more customers more efficiently, growing its customer base and business. Demica and Sonovate partnered for the £165 million securitization deal with BNP Paribas, and M&G Investments. Sonovate will also integrate Demica’s reporting tools, which improves its finance, credit, and operations.
